Do you know someone in need of prayer? Is there someone in your family who is ill. Perhaps someone is preparing to be baptized, preparing to receive Holy Communion, to be confirmed, or enter into the Sacrament of of Matrimony. Maybe someone's family member or friend passed away. Most are aware of the tradition of offering Mass for someone who has passed, but the Mass can also be offered for those who are living.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is one of the highest forms of intercessory prayer. Not only when we come to Church do we worship God, but we also bring before Him our concerns, needs, and wants. When we are not sure of what gift to offer someone, consider offering them the gift of having a Mass said for their intention. There is plenty of graces one can gain from the offering of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
